A man who allegedly attacked homes and assaulted a resident at Allambie Heights last weekend has been charged for assaulting paramedics and police.
The 19-year-old man was arrested after allegedly attacking homes at Roosevelt Avenue, Allambie Heights, just after 10.15pm Saturday, 22 March, in a drug-fuelled rampage.

NSW Police had responded to multiple calls for assistance from residents at Roosevelt Avenue and were told a man was screaming, allegedly attacking homes, attempting to break-in and had also assaulted a resident.
The man had allegedly broken the window of one home and was hitting the window of a second home. The man had sustained two deep lacerations to his right arm as a result of breaking the window and was bleeding profusely.

When police arrived at the scene, the man fled east along Roosevelt Avenue, but was tackled at the intersection with Allambie Road. Police called for the urgent assistance of NSW Ambulance, who arrived at Allambie Road to treat the man shortly after 10.30pm.
While he was undergoing treatment, the man allegedly assaulted police and paramedics who were attempting to treat his injuries and stem the severe bleeding. At least one police officer was injured.
The man was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital with a police escort just after 11.00pm, where he was treated for his injuries and it is understood he underwent a mental health assessment. While the man was in hospital, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command continued their inquiries.

The 19-year-old man remained in hospital until Tuesday (25 March). Following his discharge, he was taken in police custody to Chatswood Police Station where he was charged with a number of offences as a result of his alleged drug-fuelled rampage.
