Three teenagers have been charged over the alleged assault and robbery of a girl at Manly.
Shortly before 10.30pm last night (Saturday, 11 July), NSW Police received a report of a fight occurring at The Corso, Manly.
Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command responded and found a 16-year-old girl suffering facial injuries, cuts, scratches, abrasions, and a suspected broken finger.
The injured girl was taken by NSW Ambulance to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition, and police commenced inquiries into the incident.

Reports from bystanders, including a 30-year-old man who witnessed the alleged incident, indicated that the 16-year-old girl had been set upon by other female teens, and a bag had allegedly been stolen.
The man was also allegedly assaulted by the teens when he went to intervene, but was able to provide police with a description that allowed them to trace the alleged assailants to a bus stop at Howard Avenue, Dee Why (main image and below).
There, police located a group of around eight teenage females, many of whom appeared to be intoxicated. Claims were made by one of the teens that her bag had been stolen.
After speaking with the teenagers at the scene, police arrested three of them — two 16-year-old girls and an 18-year-old woman. The trio were taken to Manly Police Station, where they declined to be interviewed.

The first 16-year-old girl was charged with four offences:
- Two counts of common assault, under Section 61 of the NSW Crimes Act, which carries a maximum penalty of two years’ imprisonment per count
- One count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, under Section 59 of the NSW Crimes Act, which carries a maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment
- One count of robbery in circumstances of aggravation, under Section 95 of the Crimes Act 1900, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years’ imprisonment
The second 16-year-old girl was charged with two offences:
- One count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, under Section 59 of the NSW Crimes Act, which carries a maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment
- One count of robbery in circumstances of aggravation, under Section 95 of the Crimes Act 1900, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years’ imprisonment
The 18-year-old woman was charged with two offences:
- One count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, under Section 59 of the NSW Crimes Act, which carries a maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment
- One count of robbery in circumstances of aggravation, under Section 95 of the Crimes Act 1900, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years’ imprisonment

All three were refused bail by police and held in custody overnight, with the two 16-year-old girls due to appear before a Children’s Court today (Sunday, 12 July 2026), while the 18-year-old woman was due to appear today (Sunday, 12 July 2026) before Bail Division Local Court 7.
Police allege the injured 16-year-old girl was assaulted by the three teenage females, who subsequently assaulted the 30-year-old man who allegedly witnessed the incident and intervened.
