A homeless man faces Manly Court today after an alleged criminal rampage across Sydney.
NSW Police have revealed the dramatic arrest of a man at North Narrabeen yesterday afternoon (Sunday, 30 November) was the culmination of a string of alleged offences that began in Sydney’s west yesterday morning.
Just after 9.45am Sunday, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command responded to reports of a home invasion at a house at Magowar Road, Girraween.
Police were told a man allegedly kicked open the front door of the home whilst three occupants were inside, taking the key to a white 2021 Toyota Corolla that was parked in the driveway and stealing the car.
According to police, the man was unknown to the occupants of the home and there was no interaction between them as the theft occurred.

The vehicle was next spotted just after 10.45am at the Warringah Freeway near the Brook Street exit by patrolling police. It is understood the vehicle registered as stolen on their automatic numberplate recognition system.
Police indicated for the vehicle to stop and when it failed to do so, a pursuit was initiated as was detailed in yesterday’s article on the incident.
The dangerous nature of the pursuit saw it terminated a number of times as the man allegedly drove recklessly, crossing onto the opposite side of the road into oncoming traffic. It is understood the PolAir helicopter was engaged to track the vehicle from the air.

Just before 12.15pm, as the man was driving south along Pittwater Road, North Narrabeen, he was boxed in by police from the Public Order and Riot Squad who were at the intersection of Pittwater Road and Garden Street, North Narrabeen.
The car was seen to mount the curb and attempt to drive along the footpath, before the man jumped from the vehicle and allegedly fled police by running into Narrabeen Lagoon.
The 32-year-old man was pursued by police into the water and detained. During the arrest, a male senior constable from the riot squad suffered a dislocated shoulder.

The man was taken to Manly Police Station where police allege he provided a false name and refused to undergo a breath test, a drug test and a breath analysis. While in custody, police also allege he punched a male constable in the face causing minor injuries.
The man, who has no fixed address, faces ten charges including:
- Aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence
- Take and drive conveyance without consent of owner
- Police pursuit — not stop — drive recklessly — second offence
- Give a false name
- Assault police officer in execution of duty cause actual bodily harm
- Refuse or fail to submit to breath test
- Two charges of drive recklessly / furiously or speed / manner dangerous — second offence
- Two charges of refuse or fail to submit to breath analysis
The man was refused bail to appear before Manly Local Court today (Monday, 01 December 2025).
