A second motorbike collision on Forest Way in a single day has put another rider in hospital.
Shortly before 7.45pm yesterday evening (Wednesday, 11 June), NSW Police and NSW Ambulance responded to a report of a collision between a car and motorcycle at Forest Way, Frenchs Forest, near Russell Avenue.
A silver Audi sedan travelling northbound on Forest Way collided head-on with a Yamaha MT-03 motorbike that was attempting to cross the road from Russell Avenue. The impact crumpled the front of the bonnet of the Audi and sent the motorcycle and rider crashing into the road.

The 27-year-old male motorbike rider was hit by the car on his right side, breaking his right leg and leaving him in significant pain on the roadway. Multiple Triple Zero (000) calls were made, with police and ambulance crews responding to the incident scene.
NSW Ambulance Inspector Christan Holmes was first on scene from nearby Belrose Ambulance Station, assessing the injured motorbike rider. The teenage female P-plate driver of the Audi was not injured.

Police assisted Inspector Holmes with treatment of the injured rider, who was given pain relief until Intensive Care Ambulance crews from Narrabeen and Balgowlah Ambulance Stations could arrive. Tow truck drivers stepped in to help with traffic management around the crash scene while police were busy assisting with first aid.
The Intensive Care Ambulance crews both arrived around the same time, just before 8.00pm, treating him for possible internal injuries in addition to his obviously broken leg. He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition just before 8.30pm.

The incident blocked Forest Way northbound for around 45 minutes, with traffic diverted down Russell Avenue and along Grace Avenue to rejoin Forest Way at Adams Street.
Tow truck drivers cleared debris from the road before towing the damaged vehicles, and police were observed conducting inquiries at the scene.
