Allambie Heights

  • Disorder. Just after 10.30pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths causing a disturbance near Goondari Road, Allambie Heights.

Avalon Beach

  • Injury. Just after 12.15pm Monday, 13 November, NSW Ambulance and firefighters from Avalon Station responded to a report of a man injured while working on a motorbike at Barrenjoey Road, Avalon Beach. Paramedics treated a 24-year-old man who had caught his fingers in the chain of the motorbike and took him to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
  • Rescue. Just after 12.45pm Friday, 17 November, NSW Police were called to assist release a child locked in a vehicle at Avalon Parade, Avalon Beach.
  • Fire. Just before 3.15pm Friday, 17 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Avalon Station responded to a report of a burning smell from an electrical switchboard at a home at Coral Close, Avalon Beach. Firefighters requested Ausgrid attend to disconnect power to the home after confirming there was a risk of ignition, and light smoke could be seen coming from the switchboard. They stayed in attendance to provide fire protection until the power was disconnected.

Balgowlah

  • Traffic. Just after 9.30pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at Roseberry Street, Balgowlah.

Balgowlah Heights

  • Fire. Just after 5.00pm Saturday, 11 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Manly Station responded to a report of a fire in bush at Dobroyd Head, Balgowlah Heights. After a thorough investigation of trails leading to Reef Beach, they found no sign of fire.

Bayview

  • Fire. Just after 1.00am Saturday, 11 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Mona Vale Station responded to a report of a smoke alarm at Minkara Road, Bayview. They found no sign of fire and determined it was a false alarm.

Belrose

  • Traffic. Just after 10.45pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Forest Way, Belrose.
  • Theft. Just after 2.45am Wednesday, 15 November, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Forest Glen Crescent, Belrose.
  • Theft. Just before 7.00am Wednesday, 15 November, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Forest Glen Crescent, Belrose.

Bilgola Beach

Bilgola Plateau

  • Hazard. Just after 5.00pm Saturday, 11 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Avalon Station and Ausgrid were called to a report of a large tree branch resting on powerlines at Bilambee Avenue, Bilgola Plateau. Firefighters established an exclusion zone until Ausgrid could disconnect power from the powerlines to allow the tree branch to be removed.

Brookvale

  • Theft. Just before 3.30pm Sunday, 12 November, NSW Police were called to a report of a person caught shoplifting at Warringah Mall, Brookvale.
  • Theft. Shortly after 3.30pm Monday, 13 November, NSW Police received a report of goods stolen from a store at Pittwater Road, Brookvale.
  • Vandalism. Just after 4.45pm Monday, 13 November, NSW Police received a report of property vandalised at Warringah Mall, Brookvale.
  • Theft. Just after 9.00am Wednesday, 15 November, NSW Police received a report of goods stolen from a store at Warringah Mall, Brookvale.
  • Injury. Just after 11.30am Wednesday, 15 November, NSW Ambulance was called to a report of a student injured at Brookvale Public School, Old Pittwater Road, Brookvale. Paramedics were told an eight-year-old girl had been staring at the sky and hurt her neck. She was treated for pain and tingling in her limbs, and taken to the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick in a stable condition.
  • Traffic. Just before midday Wednesday, 15 November, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Sydenham Road, Brookvale.
  • Theft. Just before 4.00pm Wednesday, 15 November, NSW Police were called to a report of a person caught shoplifting at Warringah Mall, Brookvale.
  • Theft. Just after 6.15am Thursday, 16 November, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Ethel Avenue, Brookvale.
  • Theft. Just after 1.15pm Thursday, 16 November, NSW Police were called to a report of a shoplifter caught at Warringah Mall, Brookvale.
  • Fire. Just after midnight Friday, 17 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station responded to a report of a fire occurring at Carter Road, Brookvale. They found a garbage truck whose load had caught fire. Approximately four tonnes of burning garbage was dumped onto the street, blocking Carter Road. Firefighters spread and extinguished the garbage, before contractors arrived with a bobcat to remove the rubbish from the street just after 3.00am. The cause of the fire is not yet known.

  • Theft. Just before 7.30pm Friday, 17 November, NSW Police received a report of goods stolen from a store at Warringah Mall, Brookvale.

Church Point

  • Injury. Just after 10.15pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Ambulance responded to a report of a woman who had fallen down stairs at McCarrs Creek Road, Church Point. Paramedics treated the 61-year-old woman for a head injury. They were told she lost footing on the stairs and fell backwards, hitting her head and losing consciousness. She was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Clareville

Clontarf

  • Disorder. Just after 9.30pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police were called to assist a person who was intoxicated at Peronne Avenue, Clontarf.

Collaroy

  • Fire. Just before 3.00pm Thursday, 16 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station responded to a report of smoke at a home at Pittwater Road, Collaroy. They found the premises unoccupied and forced entry, finding food burning on the stove. They switched off and removed the food, and explained what had happened to the resident who returned home.

Collaroy Plateau

  • Theft. Just before 1.30pm Wednesday, 15 November, NSW Police responded to a report of an intruder at Duncan Crescent, Collaroy Plateau.

Cromer

  • Theft. Just before 12.15pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Orlando Road, Cromer.
  • Injury. Just after 1.15pm Friday, 17 November, NSW Ambulance was called to a report of a woman who fell from a ladder while putting up Christmas lights at Washington Avenue, Cromer. Paramedics treated a 50-year-old woman who fell approximately 1.5m onto her concrete driveway for back and shoulder pain and took her to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

  • Vandalism. Just after 7.15pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of youths damaging property at a reserve at Tulich Avenue, Dee Why.
  • Disorder. Just after 7.45pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths gathered near The Strand, Dee Why.
  • Disorder. Just before 11.15pm Sunday, 12 November, NSW Police were called to assist a person who was intoxicated at Howard Avenue, Dee Why.
  • Theft. Just before 12.45am Monday, 13 November, NSW Police responded to a report of an intruder at Oaks Avenue, Dee Why.
  • Theft. Just after 6.15am Monday, 13 November, NSW Police were called to investigate a break-in and conduct a forensic examination at Oaks Avenue, Dee Why.
  • Disorder. Just after midnight Tuesday, 14 November, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths causing trouble at Howard Avenue, Dee Why.
  • Fire. Just after 5.30am Tuesday, 14 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station was called to a report of a fire in the laundry of a unit in a three-storey apartment block at Oaks Avenue, Dee Why. Firefighters found a fire in a clothes dryer, which was extinguished with a hose line and fire extinguisher. An elderly man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor smoke inhalation and taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Fire. Just after 2.45pm Tuesday, 14 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station responded to a fire alarm in a commercial building at Pittwater Road, Dee Why. After investigation, they found no sign of fire and determined it was a false alarm.
  • Disorder. Just before 8.45pm Tuesday, 14 November, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths gathered near Howard Avenue, Dee Why.

  • Fire. Just after 6.30pm Wednesday, 15 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station responded to a fire alarm at a unit block at Wheeler Parade, Dee Why. They found the alarm had been triggered by smoke from burned food, and reset the alarm.
  • Fire. Just after 10.15am Thursday, 16 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station responded to a fire alarm at St Luke’s Grammar School, Headland Road, Dee Why. On arrival, they found no smoke or fire and determined the alarm had been triggered accidentally.
  • Traffic. Just before 12.15pm Thursday, 16 November, emergency services responded to a report of a three-car collision at Warringah Road, Dee Why, around 100m west of Pittwater Road. NSW Police closed two westbound lanes of Warringah Road and managed traffic flow while firefighters from Dee Why Station cleared debris and neutralised a fluid spill with absorbent material. None of the drivers required ambulance assistance. The vehicles were towed and the lanes reopened just after 12.45pm.
  • Theft. Just after 7.15pm Thursday, 16 November, NSW Police responded to a report of an intruder at Dee Why Parade, Dee Why.
  • Theft. Just before 9.30pm Thursday, 16 November, NSW Police received a report of goods stolen from a store at Pittwater Road, Dee Why.
  • Theft. Just after 7.30am Friday, 17 November, NSW Police received a report of a vehicle stolen from where it had been parked at Banksia Street, Dee Why.
  • Disorder. Just after 1.00pm Friday, 17 November, NSW Police were called to the Commonwealth Bank at Pittwater Road, Dee Why, after a man was seen harassing and abusing people there. He was told to leave the area and given a move on order.

Frenchs Forest

  • Theft. Just after 8.45am Sunday, 12 November, NSW Police responded to an alarm that was triggered at Skyline Place, Frenchs Forest.
  • Injury. Just after 10.15am Monday, 13 November, NSW Police and NSW Ambulance were called to a workplace accident at Ann Street, Frenchs Forest. Paramedics treated a man in his 20s for a hand injury and took him to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Theft. Just before 10.15pm Monday, 13 November, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Athol Street, Frenchs Forest.
  • Fire. Just after 7.00pm Thursday, 16 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Forestville, Dee Why and Manly Stations responded to a fire alarm at Innovations Park, Warringah Road, Frenchs Forest. They found a fire in some disused electrical equipment, which was put out with CO2 extinguishers. A television broadcast that was underway at the time was interrupted until staff were allowed back into the building after smoke had been cleared. Full story.
  • Theft. Just before 7.45am Friday, 17 November, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Karingal Crescent, Frenchs Forest.
  • Theft. Just after 8.15am Friday, 17 November, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Fitzpatrick Avenue East, Frenchs Forest.

Freshwater

  • Fire. Just before 6.00pm Wednesday, 15 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Manly Station responded to a report of smoke at Cavill Street, Freshwater. On arrival, they found the source to be a BBQ.

  • Theft. Just before 8.00am Wednesday, 15 November, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Londonderry Drive, Killarney Heights.

Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park

  • Traffic. Just after 8.00pm Saturday, 11 November, emergency services responded to a report of a single vehicle collision at McCarrs Creek Road, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, near General San Martin Drive.
  • Hazard. Just before 4.45am Thursday, 16 November, NSW RFS Northern Beaches Headquarters, Terrey Hills and Coal and Candle brigades were called to a large tree that had fallen across McCarrs Creek Road, approximately 400m north of the intersection with General San Martin Drive. The road was closed until they could cut up the tree using chainsaws just after 5.15am.

Manly

  • Hazard. Just before 12.30am Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police, Fire and Rescue NSW Manly Station and NSW SES Manly Unit responded to a large gum tree branch that had fallen and blocked the roadway at Balgowlah Road, Manly. They cut up the branch and removed it from the road, which reopened to traffic just before 1.00am. An exclusion zone was set up and no injuries were reported.
  • Theft. Just after 12.30pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of goods stolen from a store at The Corso, Manly.
  • Disorder. Just before 12.45pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths gathered near East Esplanade, Manly.
  • Traffic. Just after 1.00pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Henrietta Lane, Manly.
  • Theft. Just after 7.15pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police were called to investigate a break-in at Kangaroo Street, Manly.
  • Disorder. Just after 7.30pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths gathered near West Esplanade, Manly.
  • Assault. Just after 9.00pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police were called to a report of fights occurring at East Esplanade and West Esplanade, Manly.
  • Beach. Shortly after 4.00pm Sunday, 12 November, Surf Life Saving NSW Manly lifeguard responded to the activation of the emergency beacon at Shelly Beach. They provided first aid treatment to a seven-year-old boy who had fallen and hit his head. The injury was relatively minor however and he was taken to a doctor by his parents.
  • Traffic. Just after 8.45pm Sunday, 12 November, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Central Avenue, Manly.
  • Assault. Shortly after 9.30pm Monday, 13 November, NSW Police were called to a report of a person assaulted at Tower Street, Manly.
  • Theft. Just before 11.00pm Monday, 13 November, NSW Police responded to a report of an intruder at Kangaroo Street, Manly.
  • Beach. Just after 12.45pm Tuesday, 14 November, Surf Life Saving NSW Manly lifeguards were asked to assist locate a man in his 50s who had been reported missing on the beach by his partner. He had not been seen for around 30 minutes, but after a search and announcements over the PA system, was located walking along the beach at North Steyne.
  • Vandalism. Just before 11.15am Wednesday, 15 November, NSW Police received a report of property vandalised at Pacific Street, Manly.
  • Disorder. Just before 7.30pm Wednesday, 15 November, NSW Police were called to assist a person who was intoxicated at The Corso, Manly.
  • Fire. Just before 3.00pm Thursday, 16 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Manly Station responded to a fire alarm in a unit at Cove Avenue, Manly. They found the resident had burned some cooking, which had triggered the alarm. They assisted to clear smoke from the unit before departing.
  • Traffic. Just after 6.00pm Thursday, 16 November, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Commonwealth Parade, Manly.
  • Traffic. Just before 12.30pm Friday, 17 November, NSW Police and Fire and Rescue NSW Manly Station responded to a report that a car had driven into North Steyne Reserve and collided with a light pole at North Steyne, Manly, near Pacific Street. Fortunately no one was struck by the vehicle, and after some initial concern for the condition of the male driver, it was determined he was unharmed. The vehicle was towed from the reserve and an exclusion zone was established around the immediate area for safety. Northern Beaches Council are assessing the damage to a metal picnic table and the light pole to undertake repairs.

  • Disorder. Shortly before 6.45pm Monday, 13 November, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths gathered near Condamine Street, Manly Vale.
  • Assault. Just before 4.45pm Thursday, 16 November, NSW Police were called to a report of a person assaulted at Sloane Crescent, Manly Vale.

Mona Vale

  • Vandalism. Just after 6.45pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of property vandalised at Darley Street East, Mona Vale.
  • Traffic. Just after 8.00am Sunday, 12 November, NSW Ambulance responded to a report of a single vehicle collision into parked cars at Maxwell Street, Mona Vale. Paramedics treated an 85-year-old man for chest pain and took him to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Theft. Just after 1.15pm Monday, 13 November, NSW Police received a report of goods stolen from a store at Park Street, Mona Vale.
  • Theft. Just after 9.15am Friday, 17 November, NSW Police were called to investigate a break-in at Mona Vale Road, Mona Vale.

Narrabeen

  • Vandalism. Just before 12.15am Thursday, 16 November, NSW Police received a report of property vandalised at Lindley Avenue, Narrabeen.
  • Theft. Just after 10.45am Thursday, 16 November, NSW Police were called to investigate a break-in at Pittwater Road, Narrabeen.
  • Theft. Just before 12.45pm Friday, 17 November, NSW Police were called to investigate a break-in at Malcolm Street, Narrabeen.

Narraweena

  • Theft. Just before 5.15pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from premises at Karoola Street, Narraweena.
  • Vandalism. Shortly before 6.30pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of property vandalised at Ronald Avenue, Narraweena.

Newport

  • Beach. Just after 8.00am Saturday, 11 November, Surf Life Saving NSW Newport patrol provided first aid treatment to a teenage girl who had been injured in the surf. NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the teen for an injury to her back and took her to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Hazard. Just before 8.15pm Wednesday, 15 November, Fire and Rescue NSW Mona Vale Station responded to a report of a tree fallen at Robertson Road, Newport. They found a large paperbark tree had fallen and blocked the road, which they cleared in around 15 minutes before returning to station.

  • Traffic. Just after 1.00pm Thursday, 16 November, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Bangaroo Street, North Balgowlah.
  • Theft. Shortly before 10.45am Friday, 17 November, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Kimo Street, North Balgowlah.

North Curl Curl

  • Beach. Just after 7.30am Saturday, 11 November, Surf Life Saving NSW North Curl Curl patrol provided first aid assistance to a 61-year-old woman who had been injured in a fall on the rocks near the North Curl Curl rock pool. NSW Ambulance paramedics were called and treated the woman for a possible spinal injury, taking her to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Vandalism. Shortly before 1.30pm Sunday, 12 November, NSW Police received a report of property vandalised at Headland Road, North Curl Curl.

North Manly

  • Theft. Just after 5.45am Thursday, 16 November, NSW Police received a report of a vehicle stolen from where it had been parked at Amourin Street, North Manly.

  • Marine. Saturday, 11 November, Marine Rescue NSW Broken Bay assisted a 40ft cruiser that had lost power and was drifting in Pittwater. They returned the vessel to its mooring at Bayview.

Palm Beach

  • Traffic. Just before 7.15pm Monday, 13 November, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Barrenjoey Road, Palm Beach.

Queenscliff

  • Vandalism. Just after 10.15am Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police received a report of property vandalised at Dalley Street, Queenscliff.

Terrey Hills

  • Disorder. Just after 1.00pm Saturday, 11 November, NSW Police were called to assist a person who was intoxicated at Mona Vale Road, Terrey Hills.
  • Theft. Just after 9.30pm Sunday, 12 November, NSW Police responded to a report of an intruder at Myoora Road, Terrey Hills.
  • Traffic. Just before 5.45am Monday, 13 November, NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) crews from Northern Beaches Headquarters and Terrey Hills, NSW Police and NSW Ambulance responded to a two-car collision at Mona Vale Road, Terrey Hills, near Aumuna Road. The side-on collision caused damage to both vehicles and blocked one northbound lane of Mona Vale Road, but fortunately nobody was injured. Both cars were towed and firefighters cleared fluids and debris from the roadway before the road was fully reopened.

Warriewood

  • Theft. Just before 5.15pm Friday, 17 November, NSW Police were called to a report of a person caught shoplifting at Warriewood Square Shopping Centre, Jacksons Road, Warriewood.
  • Disorder. Shortly before 5.30pm Friday, 17 November, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths gathered near Pittwater Road, Warriewood.
