The search continues for 71-year-old George St John (image right/below), who was last seen at a home at Maxwell Street, Mona Vale, around 7.30am Monday, 30 October.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare as he lives with a health condition and left home without any personal possessions.

NSW Police and the NSW State Emergency Service (SES), including SES Manly Unit (image right/below), conducted a search for George St John in bushland surrounding Bayview Golf Course today (Wednesday, 01 November). They combed through the area on foot, looking for any sign of the Mona Vale resident.

A geo-targeted SMS message was issued by NSW Police on Monday evening (30 October) for George St John to the Mona Vale and surrounding suburbs. If you received a mobile phone text message from +61 444 444 444, it is not a scam.

Anyone who may have seen George St John, or may know of his whereabouts, is urged to contact Dee Why Police Station on 02 9971 3399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Monday, 30 October 2023:

NSW Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man reported missing from Mona Vale.

George St John (image right/below), aged 71, was last seen at a home at Maxwell Street, Mona Vale, around 7.30am this morning (Monday, 30 October).

When he could not be located later today, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for George St John’s welfare as he lives with a health condition and left home without any personal possessions.

George St John is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 175cm tall, of thin build, with balding grey hair.

It is not known what he was wearing at the time.

He is known to go on walks in the local area, frequenting the Mona Vale CBD and Mona Vale Beach, and Warriewood Beach.
