A teenage boy has been arrested and charged for multiple break-ins at Brookvale.

Just after 2.00am yesterday morning (Wednesday, 11 October), NSW Police were called to businesses at Pittwater Road, Brookvale, and Winbourne Road, Brookvale, after reports of windows being smashed to gain entry.

Ampol Service Station, Brookvale

At an Ampol service station at Pittwater Road, officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command were told a male youth had allegedly gained entry into the premises by smashing the glass door. Police did not reveal what items, if any, were allegedly stolen from the service station.

According to police, around 2.10am the same youth allegedly made entry to the First Choice Liquor Market at nearby Winbourne Road by smashing the door to the premises. The youth then allegedly stole two bottles of alcohol.

After making inquiries and conducting a search of the area, officers located a 15-year-old boy at Pittwater Road, Brookvale, who matched the description of the person who had allegedly broken into the two nearby stores.

After speaking with the youth, he was arrested and taken to Manly Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter. Bail was refused and he appeared at a Children’s Court yesterday (Wednesday, 11 October 2023).
