Cabbage Tree Road was closed for several hours and a NSW Police spokesperson confirmed a crime scene had been established to be forensically examined by specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.

A number of factors are likely to be looked at, including the condition of the road, which was wet at the time of the incident, and the number of people in the vehicle and whether they were properly restrained at the time of the collision.

The police spokesperson requested that anyone with information or dashcam footage contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
