A body has been found at North Head following a search for a missing man.

A NSW Police spokesperson has confirmed that a body, believed to be that of a man reported missing from Beacon Hill two days ago, has been located today (Thursday, 25 May), at North Head, Manly.

Serious concerns were raised for the welfare of 52-year-old Warwick Hills, who was last seen leaving a home at Dareen Street, Beacon Hill, around 7.00am Tuesday, 23 May.

When he could not be located or contacted by family or friends, the man was reported missing to officers from the Northern Beaches Police Area Command, who commenced inquiries to locate him.

Known to frequent the Manly, North Manly and Brookvale areas, a geo-targeted SMS message was issued yesterday (Wednesday, 24 May) by NSW Police to the Manly area.

Following inquiries, the body of a man was located during a search near North Head, Manly, around 10.00am this morning (Thursday 25 May).

While the body is yet to be formally identified, NSW Police believe it to be that of the missing man, Mr Warwick Hills.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
