  • Bayview. Just after 12.15pm Saturday, 07 May, NSW Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to a report of a collision between a cyclist and car at Pittwater Road, Bayview, near King Edward Avenue, Bayview. The 43-year-old male cyclist struck the windscreen of the vehicle with enough force to break it. He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
  • Belrose. Just after 8.30pm Monday, 09 May, emergency services responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Forest Way, Belrose, and Glen Street. Firefighters assisted to clear debris and fluids from the roadway while NSW Ambulance paramedics assessed three patients. A man in his 30s was transported to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.

  • Brookvale. Just after 7.30pm Thursday, 12 May, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Old Pittwater Road, Brookvale. No injuries were reported.
  • Collaroy. Just after 3.30pm Saturday, 07 May, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station was called to a report of a woman trapped in a bathroom at the Long Reef Surf Club. She had been caught by a faulty door mechanism. They managed to release her and placed barrier tape across the doorway.
  • Collaroy Plateau. Shortly after 4.30pm Tuesday, 10 May, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Hilma Street, Collaroy Plateau.
  • Cromer. Just after 11.30am Wednesday, 11 May, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Little Willandra Road, Cromer.
  • Dee Why. Just after 12.15pm Saturday, 07 May, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to a person believed to be having an allergic reaction at a food outlet at Fisher Road, Dee Why. They were taken to Northern Beaches Hospital for treatment.
  • Dee Why. Just after 11.45am Monday, 09 May, NSW Police and firefighters from Dee Why Station responded to a three-vehicle collision at Pittwater Road, Dee Why, near Warringah Road. Southbound traffic was affected while firefighters removed the bonnet of a vehicle to disconnect the horn while undertaking fire protection procedures. Debris was cleared and the vehicle towed shortly before 12.30pm.
  • Dee Why. Just after 3.45pm Monday, 09 May, a State Transit ‘bendy’ bus broke down at the intersection of Pittwater Road, Warringah Road and Harbord Road, Dee Why. Traffic in all directions was affected for around an hour until the vehicle could be repaired by a mechanic and moved.

  • Dee Why. Just before 11.15am Friday, 13 May, NSW Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics responded to a report of a two-car collision at Pittwater Road, Dee Why, near South Creek Road. One northbound lane was closed while paramedics assessed a woman who was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition. The incident was cleared just after 12.15pm.
  • Frenchs Forest. Shortly after 5.30pm Thursday, 12 May, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Forest Way, Frenchs Forest. No injuries were reported.
  • Frenchs Forest. Just after 9.30pm Friday, 13 May, emergency services responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover at Grace Avenue, Frenchs Forest. A male driver, aged in his late teens, rolled his silver Holden Astra after hitting a parked vehicle. He was treated for facial injuries and taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.   • Frenchs Forest. Shortly before 11.45pm Friday, 13 May, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Romford Road, Frenchs Forest.
  • Ingleside. Shortly before 8.00am Saturday, 07 May, NSW Police received a report of a three-car collision at the Wakehurst Parkway, Ingleside, near Deep Creek Bridge. The female driver of one vehicle was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries but not taken to hospital. Another vehicle involved in the incident allegedly left the scene without stopping. Traffic was affected until after 9.00am.
  • Killarney Heights. Just after 5.30pm Wednesday, 11 May, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Tralee Avenue, Killarney Heights. No injuries were reported.
  • Manly Vale. Just after 12.15pm Saturday, 07 May, NSW Police were called to a report of a motor vehicle accident at the Burnt Bridge Creek Deviation, Manly Vale.
  • Mona Vale. Shortly after 9.45am Monday, 09 May, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Waratah Street, Mona Vale.
  • Narrabeen. Shortly before 6.30pm Friday, 13 May, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Mactier Street, Narrabeen.
  • North Curl Curl. Shortly before 11.30am Saturday, 07 May, NSW Ambulance paramedics requested the assistance of firefighters from Manly and Narrabeen Stations to retrieve a woman in her 70s, who had fallen while walking on the rock ledge at North Curl Curl Headland. She had suffered an apparent hip injury and was carried back to a waiting NSW Ambulance, which took her to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Warriewood. Just after 10.45am Saturday, 07 May, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to a report of a boy injured playing rugby at Pittwater Road, Warriewood. He was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Warriewood. Just after 9.30am Monday, 09 May, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Jubilee Avenue, Warriewood.
  • Warriewood. Just after 10.15am Friday, 13 May, emergency services were called to reports of a person in distress at a home at Macpherson Street, Warriewood. They arrived to find a woman had given birth to a baby girl. Female firefighters assisted the mother until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived.   • Beacon Hill. Just after 4.00pm Saturday, 07 May, NSW Police responded to a report of a break-in at Warringah Road, Beacon Hill.
  • Brookvale. Just after 9.30pm Saturday, 07 May, NSW Police responded to a report of an intruder on premises at Grosvenor Place, Brookvale.
  • Brookvale. Just after 6.00pm Monday, 09 May, NSW Police were called to investigate the theft of a motor vehicle from where it had been parked at Pittwater Road, Brookvale.
  • Brookvale. Just before 8.30am Friday, 13 May, NSW Police received a report of stealing from a commercial premise at Old Pittwater Road, Brookvale.
  • Collaroy. Just after 3.00pm Tuesday, 10 May, NSW Police received a report of a vehicle stolen from where it had been parked at Lincoln Avenue, Collaroy.
  • Cromer. Just before 1.30pm Tuesday, 10 May, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle that was parked at Inman Road, Cromer.
  • Cromer. Just after 7.45pm Wednesday, 11 May, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Dympna Street, Cromer.
  • Cromer. Just before 5.45pm Thursday, 12 May, NSW Police were called to investigate a report of a break-in at Fisher Road North, Cromer.

  • Belrose. Just after 7.30pm Wednesday, 11 May, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at Glen Street, Belrose.
  • Brookvale. Shortly before 4.45am Sunday, 08 May, NSW Police were called to a report of a fight occurring at Federal Parade, Brookvale.
  • Dee Why. Just after 8.15am Thursday, 12 May, NSW Police were called to investigate a report of a person assaulted at The Strand, Dee Why.
  • Frenchs Forest. Shortly after 3.30pm Saturday, 07 May, NSW Police were called to investigate a report of an assault at Bambara Road, Frenchs Forest.
  • Manly. Just after 2.15am Saturday, 07 May, NSW Police were called to a report of an assault at Henrietta Lane, Manly. A man in his 20s was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with minor facial injuries.
  • Manly. Shortly before midnight Sunday, 08 May, NSW Police received a report of suspicious activity allegedly involving drugs at Raglan Street, Manly.
  • Manly. Just after midnight Tuesday, 10 May, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at The Corso, Manly.
  • Manly. Just after 5.00pm Friday, 13 May, NSW Police responded to a report of a person assaulted and damage to property at Pine Street, Manly.

  • Mona Vale. Just before 12.45pm Saturday, 07 May, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths gathered near Barrenjoey Road, Mona Vale.

  • Narrabeen. Just after 11.30pm Saturday, 07 May, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at Lagoon Street, Narrabeen.
  • Narrabeen. Just before 11.00pm Sunday, 08 May, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at Pittwater Road, Narrabeen.
  • Newport. Shortly after 6.00pm Tuesday, 10 May, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths involved in theft from a retail premise at Barrenjoey Road, Newport.
  • Newport. Shortly after 6.15pm Tuesday, 10 May, NSW Police were called to investigate a report of an assault at Barrenjoey Road, Newport.
  • North Curl Curl. Just before 9.30pm Saturday, 07 May, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths at a reserve near Playfair Road, North Curl Curl.
  • Warriewood. Just after 3.45am Sunday, 08 May, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths gathered near Warriewood Square, Jacksons Road, Warriewood.

Fire & Hazard

  • Avalon Beach. Shortly before 12.30pm Monday, 09 May, Fire and Rescue NSW Avalon Station was called to electrical wires down at Elaine Avenue, Avalon Beach. They created an exclusion zone for safety and requested Ausgrid to attend for a repair.
  • Avalon Beach. Shortly after 8.45am Wednesday, 11 May, Fire and Rescue NSW Avalon Station responded to a report of a gas leak at Cabarita Road, Avalon Beach. They found that gas works were being conducted in the street and there was no leak or danger.
  • Collaroy. Shortly before 5.00pm Saturday, 07 May, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station was called to a report of smoke coming from a home at Coutts Crescent, Collaroy. They found the source was a backyard firepit, requiring no action.
  • Frenchs Forest. Just after 3.30pm Saturday, 07 May, Fire and Rescue NSW Forestville Station was called to a ruptured gas line at Jimada Avenue, Frenchs Forest. They clamped the line and tested with gas monitoring equipment to ensure the line was safe before recommending the owner call the gas company for a permanent repair.
  • Frenchs Forest. Shortly after 10.30am Monday, 09 May, Fire and Rescue NSW Forestville Station was called to a car on fire at Dareen Street, Frenchs Forest. They found a station wagon with its engine bay fully engulphed in fire. NSW Police closed Dareen Street in both directions as firefighters in breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze using street hydrants and foam. The vehicle was significantly damaged by fire and towed from the scene.
  • Freshwater. Just before 10.45am Tuesday, 10 May, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station responded to an automated fire alarm at Albert Street, Freshwater. There was no sign of fire and they determined the alarm had been triggered by a malfunction.
  • Mona Vale. Just before 1.15pm Wednesday, 11 May, NSW Police and firefighters from Mona Vale Station responded to a report of wires down at Waterview Street, Mona Vale. They found low hanging wires across the road and police closed the street in both directions until the wires could be repaired.
  • Narrabeen. Just after 11.00pm Thursday, 12 May, emergency services were called to a report of a fire at a home at Pittwater Road, Narrabeen. Multiple NSW Police vehicles and Fire and Rescue NSW appliances from Narrabeen and Mona Vale Stations were called to reports of smoke coming from the front of the residential property (main image and below). Firefighters in breathing apparatus extinguished the source of the fire in a bedroom. Full story.

  • North Narrabeen. Just before 1.30pm Saturday, 07 May, Fire and Rescue NSW Narrabeen Station was called to a report of a fire at a park at Narroy Road, North Narrabeen. By the time they arrived, local residents had already managed to extinguish a small vegetation fire. They checked it was safe before returning to station.

  • E-waste collection. Dell Technologies are partnering with TechCollect to host a free public e-waste collection event at 15 Aquatic Drive, Frenchs Forest, from 9.00am – 3.00pm today (Saturday, 14 May).
  • FRNSW Open Day. Fire and Rescue NSW are holding an Open Day today (Saturday, 14 May). Head to a local Fire Station between 10.00am and 2.00pm with (or without) kids to see fire trucks and firefighting equipment and get information about home fire safety.   • Public Health warning. Wednesday, 11 May, Northern Beaches Council and NSW Health issued a health advisory warning of the detection of Barmah Forest virus in mosquitoes at Narrabeen Lagoon. The NSW Arbovirus Surveillance and Mosquito Monitoring Program recently detected the virus in mosquitoes trapped at Deep Creek, Narrabeen. People are urged to take precautions to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes in the area. Full story.
