  • Tuesday 7.00pm. A tree fell across Wakehurst Parkway, North Narrabeen, blocking the road near Elanora Road until 11.00pm.
  • Tuesday 7.00pm. A landslide at Cheryl Crescent, Newport, resulted in the evacuation of residents.
  • Tuesday 7.00pm. A landslide from a property blocked Wallumatta Road, Newport. Northern Beaches Council was called to clear the roadway.
  • Tuesday 7.30pm. A landslide at Garden Street, North Narrabeen, undermined a tree, causing danger of collapse. Residents were advised to leave until the tree could be safely removed.

Traffic & Rescue

  • Allambie Heights. Just after 12.30am Tuesday, 08 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Allambie Road, Allambie Heights.
  • Avalon Beach. Just after 1.30am Monday, 07 March, emergency services were called to a report of a car that had rolled at Barrenjoey Road, Avalon Beach, near The Serpentine. Firefighters put in place fire protection and stabilised the vehicle that had a man and woman believed to be in their 50s inside. They were assisted from the overturned vehicle and treated for minor injuries by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition. Traffic was affected in both directions until the vehicle could be towed just after 4.30am.
  • Avalon Beach. Just after 8.00pm Tuesday, 08 March, three NSW Ambulance crews were called to a report of people sustaining burns at a home at North Avalon Road, Avalon Beach. Paramedics found two people suffering burns, one seriously. A male in his 50s had burns to his neck, chest and left arm, and was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition. The other man in his 60s had superficial burns to his chest and arm but did not require transport to hospital.
  • Balgowlah. Shortly before 9.00am Wednesday, 09 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics responded to a report of an 11-month-old child who had fallen and hit their head at Westlake Place, Balgowlah. They were assessed by paramedics and taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Balgowlah. Shortly before 7.30am Friday, 11 March, emergency services were called to a two-car collision at Sydney Road, Balgowlah, near Hill Street. Nobody was seriously injured. A woman in her 20s was assessed for possible shock at the scene but did not require transport to hospital. Westbound traffic was impacted until the vehicles were cleared.
  • Beacon Hill. Just after 2.15pm Saturday, 05 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Tristram Road, Beacon Hill.
  • Beacon Hill. Just before 9.00am Tuesday, 08 March, emergency services were called to a three-car collision at Warringah Road, Beacon Hill, near Ellis Road. Firefighters cleared debris from the roadway as NSW Ambulance paramedics assessed one driver, a woman in her 60s, with injuries to her head. She was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition. The incident was cleared by 9.30am.
  • Belrose. Just before 8.00am Monday, 07 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Forest Way, Belrose.
  • Brookvale. Just after 9.00am Saturday, 05 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Winbourne Road, Brookvale.
  • Brookvale. Shortly after 1.30pm Wednesday, 09 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Mitchell Road, Brookvale.
  • Brookvale. Just after 1.45pm Wednesday, 09 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Pittwater Road, Brookvale.

  • Church Point. Shortly before 8.00pm Sunday, 06 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at McCarrs Creek Road, Church Point.
  • Cromer. Just before 9.15pm Monday, 07 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at South Creek Road, Cromer.
  • Cromer. Just after 4.30pm Wednesday, 09 March, three NSW Ambulance crews responded to a report of a man in his 50s who had fallen 5m from a ladder at Toronto Avenue, Cromer. He had struck his head but reported no loss of consciousness and did not appear to be suffering spinal damage. He was treated for pain to his left side and taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
  • Dee Why. Shortly after 10.30am Monday, 07 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Pacific Parade, Dee Why.
  • Dee Why. Shortly after 4.00pm Monday, 07 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Delmar Parade, Dee Why.
  • Dee Why. Shortly after 9.00am Tuesday, 08 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Delmar Parade, Dee Why.
  • Dee Why. Shortly after 2.30pm Thursday, 10 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to Dee Why RSL Club at Pittwater Road, Dee Why, for a 90-year-old man who had collapsed in the bistro. Paramedics stabilised him and took him to Northern Beaches Hospital.
  • Forestville. Shortly after 6.00am Thursday, 10 March, NSW Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics received a report of a collision between a car and bicycle at Warringah Road, Forestville, near Ryrie Avenue. Paramedics treated the male rider in his 50s for facial injuries and took him to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Forestville. Just after 10.00am Friday, 11 March, emergency services were called to a report of a car driving through a fence at the Forestville RSL Club, Melwood Avenue, Forestville. They found an 85-year-old male driver trapped in a vehicle that had collided with a wall and a stationary car. He was assisted from the vehicle and taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition. Firefighters rendered a fluid spill safe and the damaged vehicles were towed.
  • Killarney Heights. Just before 4.00pm Thursday, 10 March, NSW Police and Fire and Rescue NSW Forestville Station were called to a report of students trapped in a lift at Killarney Heights High School, Starkey Street, Killarney Heights. They remained on scene while a lift technician was able to release five students from the lift by 4.20pm, without the need for rescue equipment.
  • Manly. Shortly before 12.30pm Sunday, 06 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to a report of a head-on collision between a motorcycle and car at West Promenade, Manly, near Sydney Road. They found a 30-year-old male rider with injuries to his head and legs. He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Manly. Just after 1.15pm Monday, 07 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to assist a man in his 30s who had received a laceration to his neck from falling glass. He was treated and taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Manly. Just after 10.00am Tuesday, 08 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Pittwater Road, Manly.
  • Manly. Just before 10.15am Tuesday, 08 March, emergency services were called to a two-car collision at Pittwater Road, Manly, near Eurobin Avenue. The driver of one vehicle, a woman in her 50s, was assessed for minor injuries to her head but did not require transport to hospital.
  • Manly. Just before 8.45am Wednesday, 09 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to a 46-year-old man who had collapsed at Belgrave Street, Manly. He recovered with treatment and did not require transport to hospital.
  • Manly. Just after 11.15am Friday, 11 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Alexander Street, Manly.
  • Manly Vale. Just after 12.30pm Wednesday, 09 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to assist a woman in her 60s who had slipped over on a muddy oval at Campbell Parade, Manly Vale. They treated her for a knee injury and took her to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Mona Vale. Just before 7.30pm Sunday, 06 March, NSW Police were called to assist a parent who had locked a child in a vehicle at Park Street, Mona Vale.
  • Mona Vale. Just after 2.30pm Monday, 07 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Wilmette Place, Mona Vale.
  • Mona Vale. Just after 1.00pm Wednesday, 09 March, three NSW Ambulance crews and the CareFlight Rescue Helicopter responded to a report a man in his 80s had fallen from a roof at Allunga Close, Mona Vale. Although a ladder was present, they found him collapsed without evidence of traumatic injury from a fall. Diagnosed to be suffering from a medical episode, they transported him by NSW Ambulance with the CareFlight specialist medical team on board to Northern Beaches Hospital in a critical condition.
  • Mona Vale. Just after 9.00am Thursday, 10 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Mona Vale Road, Mona Vale.
  • North Balgowlah. Just before 3.15pm Friday, 11 March, NSW Police and Fire and Rescue NSW were called to a burst water main at Woodbine Street, North Balgowlah, near Eileen Street. The water main had ruptured beneath the road, causing significant damage to Eileen Street and unknown damage to Woodbine Street. Both roads were closed for assessment by Northern Beaches Council and traffic diversions put in place.
  • North Narrabeen. Shortly before 7.00am Monday, 07 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Woorarra Avenue, North Narrabeen.
  • North Narrabeen. Just before 9.45pm Thursday, 10 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Pittwater Road, North Narrabeen.
  • Palm Beach. Just after 5.30pm Saturday, 05 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to restaurant at Barrenjoey Road, Palm Beach. They treated a woman in her 50s who was having an anaphylactic reaction and took her to Northern Beaches Hospital.
  • Seaforth. Just after 1.30pm Tuesday, 08 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at Manly Road, Seaforth.
  • Seaforth. Just after 1.45pm Tuesday, 08 March, NSW Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at the Wakehurst Parkway, Seaforth. Traffic in both directions was impacted until just before 3.30pm.
  • Whale Beach. Just before 10.00pm Sunday, 06 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to a report of a woman in her 60s who had fallen and struck her head at Whale Beach Road, Whale Beach. Two NSW Ambulance crews attended the scene and the woman was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.

  • Avalon Beach. Just before 11.45am Monday, 07 March, NSW Police were called to investigate a break-in at Whale Beach Road, Avalon Beach.
  • Balgowlah. Saturday, 05 March, a bicycle was stolen from where it had been locked up in the car park at Bunnings, Balgowlah. The theft has been reported to police, anyone seeing the bike (image below) for sale should report it to Crime Stoppers or call Manly Police Station on 02 9976 8099.

  • Narrabeen. Just after 9.45pm Friday, 11 March, NSW Police received a report of vandalism of property at Ocean Street, Narrabeen.
  • Narraweena. Shortly after 11.30pm Saturday, 05 March, NSW Police received a report of vandalism of property at McIntosh Road, Narraweena.
  • Narraweena. Just after 9.15am Tuesday, 08 March, NSW Police were called to investigate a report of theft from a motor vehicle at Alfred Street, Narraweena. They conducted a fingerprint assessment of the crime scene.
  • Narraweena. Just after 12.45pm Tuesday, 08 March, NSW Police received a report of theft from a motor vehicle parked at Sherwood Crescent, Narraweena.
  • Narraweena. Just before 9.30am Friday, 11 March, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle that was parked at Alamein Avenue, Narraweena.
  • Narraweena. Just after 11.30pm Friday, 11 March, NSW Police received a report of vandalism of property at McIntosh Road, Narraweena.
  • Newport. Just before 12.15am Monday, 07 March, NSW Police were called to investigate theft from a retail premise at Barrenjoey Road, Newport.
  • North Curl Curl. 3.30pm Wednesday, 09 March, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Headland Road, North Curl Curl.
  • North Narrabeen. Just after 11.30pm Friday, 11 March, NSW Police were called to investigate a report of an intruder at Pittwater Road, North Narrabeen.
  • Palm Beach. Just after 12.45am Monday, 07 March, NSW Police were called to investigate a break-in and the theft of a vehicle from a home at Barrenjoey Road, Palm Beach.
  • Palm Beach. Just before midday Friday, 11 March, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle that was parked at Iluka Road, Palm Beach.
  • Queenscliff. Just before 12.45pm Monday, 07 March, NSW Police responded to a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Queenscliff Road, Queenscliff. They conducted a fingerprint assessment of the scene.
  • Warriewood. Just after 6.00am Tuesday, 08 March, NSW Police received a report of vandalism of property at Macpherson Street, Warriewood.
  • Warriewood. Shortly before 9.00pm Wednesday, 09 March, NSW Police received a report of property stolen from a vehicle parked at Boondah Road, Warriewood.

  • Brookvale. Just before 1.45pm Sunday, 06 March, NSW Police responded to a report of an assault at Pittwater Road, Brookvale.
  • Brookvale. Just before 10.15am Tuesday, 08 March, NSW Police responded to a report of an assault at Green Street, Brookvale.
  • Brookvale. Just before 5.30pm Thursday, 10 March, NSW Police were called to investigate suspicious activity allegedly involving drugs at Pittwater Road, Brookvale.
  • Brookvale. Shortly before 11.30am Friday, 11 March, NSW Police were called to investigate suspicious activity allegedly involving drugs at Dale Street, Brookvale.
  • Collaroy. Just before 1.15am Sunday, 06 March, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths gathered at a reserve at Parkes Road, Collaroy.
  • Dee Why. Just before 9.30am Saturday, 05 March, NSW Police were called to investigate a report of an assault at Pittwater Road, Dee Why.
  • Dee Why. Just after 10.15pm Friday, 11 March, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly youths at McIntosh Road, Dee Why.
  • Forestville. Just after midnight Thursday, 10 March, NSW Police were called to a report of an assault at Forestville Avenue, Forestville.
  • Manly. Just before 4.45pm Saturday, 05 March, NSW Police were called to investigate a report of an assault at East Esplanade, Manly.
  • Manly. Just after 7.30pm Saturday, 05 March, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at Sydney Road, Manly.
  • Manly. Just after 10.15pm Saturday, 05 March, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at Park Avenue, Manly.
  • Manly. Shortly before 10.30pm Saturday, 05 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to assist an intoxicated 15-year-old boy at East Esplanade, Manly. After checking he was not in danger, he was picked up and taken home.
  • Manly. Just before 11.15pm Saturday, 05 March, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at West Esplanade, Manly.
  • Manly. Just before 6.30pm Monday, 07 March, NSW Police were called to a report of an assault at The Corso, Manly.
  • Manly. Just before 1.45pm Friday, 11 March, NSW Police were called to investigate a report of an assault at West Esplanade, Manly.
  • Manly. Just before 6.00pm Friday, 11 March, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at East Esplanade, Manly.
  • Manly Vale. Just after 9.15pm Friday, 11 March, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at Campbell Parade, Manly Vale.
  • Mona Vale. Shortly before 10.00pm Sunday, 06 March, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at Golf Avenue, Mona Vale.
  • Mona Vale. Shortly after 9.30pm Friday, 11 March, NSW Police received a report of a group of disorderly and intoxicated youths at Seabeach Avenue, Mona Vale.
  • Narraweena. Just after 4.15pm Thursday, 10 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to a report of a collapse at Beverly Job Park at McIntosh Road, Narraweena. They found a woman in her 50s who appeared to be intoxicated. She was otherwise unhurt and taken home by a friend.
  • North Manly. Just before 2.15pm Saturday, 05 March, NSW Police were called to investigate a report of an assault at Pittwater Road, North Manly.
  • North Narrabeen. Shortly after 7.30am Saturday, 05 March, NSW Police were called to assist a person who appeared to be intoxicated at Rickard Road, North Narrabeen.

Fire & Hazard

  • Balgowlah. Shortly after 6.30am Monday, 07 March, a fallen tree at the Burnt Bridge Creek Deviation, Balgowlah, near Sydney Road, blocked two lanes of southbound traffic until it was cleared just before 7.30am.
  • Balgowlah. Just after 2.45pm Tuesday, 08 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Neutral Bay Station responded to a fire in an electrical fuse box at an apartment block at Cross Street, Balgowlah. They put the fire out using CO2 extinguishers and requested the attendance of Ausgrid.
  • Beacon Hill. Just after 8.00am Tuesday, 08 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Forestville Station were called to a report of a truck on fire at Warringah Road, Beacon Hill, near Government Road. They found a truck that had overheated but was not on fire. Westbound traffic was affected until the truck could be cleared from the road.
  • Belrose. Shortly after 3.00pm Thursday, 10 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Forestville Station were called to a fire alarm at United Nursing Care at Morgan Road, Belrose. They found the alarm had been triggered by a power surge, reset the system and returned to station.
  • Dee Why. Just before 7.00pm Tuesday, 08 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Narrabeen and Manly Stations were called to reports of a fire in an underground service pit outside the Sushi Train restaurant at Pittwater Road, Dee Why. It is thought floodwater had entered the pit causing electrical shorting, resulting in the fire. The flames were put out with CO2 extinguishers and power to the service pit was isolated by Ausgrid.   • Dee Why. Just before 4.30am Wednesday, 09 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station responded to a report of a power pole alight at Francis Street, Dee Why. They extinguished the high voltage power pole and remained on scene until Ausgrid isolated the pole at a nearby substation to conduct repairs.
  • Frenchs Forest. Just before 6.30am Saturday, 05 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Forestville Station were called to a fire alarm at the Telstra Exchange building, Warringah Road, Frenchs Forest. They used a ladder to scale the fence to gain access to inspect the premises. They determined a smoke detector was suffering a fault, isolated the alarm and contacted Telstra before returning to station.
  • Frenchs Forest. Just before 11.15am Thursday, 10 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Forestville Station responded to a fire alarm at the Forestway Shopping Centre at Forest Way, Frenchs Forest. After investigation, they found no sign of fire and determined the alarm had been triggered by water damage.
  • Freshwater. Just before 7.30am Sunday, 06 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station were called to Pilu restaurant at Moore Road, Freshwater. They found a fire in an electrical switchboard which was extinguished using CO2 extinguishers. Power was switched off and an electrician was requested to attend.
  • Freshwater. Just before 1.45pm Monday, 07 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Dee Why Station attended a home at Foam Street, Freshwater, after a faulty smoke alarm was triggered. They checked there was no fire and installed a new alarm for the residents.
  • Killarney Heights. Just before 10.45pm Thursday, 10 March, Fire and Rescue NSW were called to a report of a smoke alarm at Rathowen Parade, Killarney Heights. They investigated and found the issue to be a drained battery in a domestic smoke alarm. They replaced the battery and returned to station.
  • Mona Vale. Shortly before 10.15am Tuesday, 08 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Mona Vale and Narrabeen Stations responded to a report of a fire at an industrial building at Taronga Place, Mona Vale. They located a small fire around the base of a chimney, which was extinguished using the hose reel from a fire truck.
  • Mona Vale. Just after 1.30am Thursday, 10 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Mona Vale Station responded to a fire alarm that had been triggered at the Blackmores factory at Jubilee Avenue, Warriewood. They found a fault in a heat detector and reset the system before returning to station.
  • North Narrabeen. Just before 12.30pm Sunday, 06 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Narrabeen Station were called to a report of a fire alarm at a home at Pittwater Road, North Narrabeen. No fire was found and a domestic fire alarm was found to be faulty.
  • Warriewood. Just after 6.30pm Monday, 07 March, Fire and Rescue NSW Mona Vale Station were called to a home at Macpherson Street, Warriewood, that was being flooded as a result of a plumbing issue. Firefighters rendered the scene safe and recommended the occupant call a plumber.

Beach & Waterways

  • Avalon Beach. Just after 7.00am Saturday, 05 March, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to a report of a swimmer experiencing difficulty at Avalon Beach. They attended the Surf Club, where Surf Life Saving NSW Avalon Patrol were attempting to assist the swimmer who refused any further assessment.
  • Bilgola Beach. Just after 10.00am Sunday, 06 March, Surf Life Saving NSW Bilgola Beach Patrol reported a baby shark in the rock pool. Swimmers were warned to stay out of the pool.
  • Bilgola Beach. Shortly before 10.45am Sunday, 06 March, Surf Life Saving NSW Bilgola Patrol investigated a report of a possible unattended surfboard floating near the pool. It was discovered to be a piece of timber, which was part of a large volume of debris in the water from floods.
  • Dee Why. Just after 8.30am Thursday, 10 March, Surf Life Saving NSW received a report via NSW Police that a member of the public had reported a swimmer in distress in heavy surf between Dee Why and Long Reef. Lifeguards had the swimmer under constant observation and informed police that he did not require assistance.
  • Manly. Just before 11.30am Saturday, 05 March, Surf Life Saving NSW Manly Patrol requested the attendance of NSW Ambulance after a 35-year-old man hit his head on rocks falling off a surfboard. Paramedics assessed the man with suspected spinal injuries and took him to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Mona Vale. Shortly after 12.30pm Saturday, 05 March, Surf Life Saving NSW Mona Vale Patrol sounded the shark alarm after two members of the public reported seeing a shark in the water.
  • Newport. Shortly before 10.15am Sunday, 06 March, Surf Life Saving NSW Newport Patrol sounded the shark alarm following a sighting off the outlet pipe. The beach was already closed due to conditions but some surfers who had entered the water regardless were warned of the shark sighting.
  • Newport. Shortly after 11.00am Sunday, 06 March, Surf Life Saving NSW Newport Patrol investigated a possible unattended surfboard near rocks which turned out to be a log floating in the water from flood debris.
