Northern Beaches Police Area Command Crime Manager Detective Chief Inspector Michael Boutouridis confirmed the service station at Warringah Road, Forestville near Cook Street was today robbed by the man they believe committed an armed robbery at the same premises exactly one month ago (Thursday, 15 April).

Det Chief Insp Boutouridis said at 5.10am today (Saturday, 15 May) the man entered the store armed with a knife. The man demanded money from the attendant, stealing a ‘small amount of cash’ before leaving the store.

Det Chief Insp Boutouridis said the shop attendant was not harmed in the course of the robbery and the man was last seen fleeing south on Cook Street.

Police are appealing for assistance to identify and locate the man, who has now allegedly robbed the service station twice in a month. The description of the man last given was of a male in his 20s or 30s wearing a face covering and armed with a knife.

If any member of the public knows the identity or location of the man, they are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
