The Shell Coles Express at Forestville was robbed early this morning.

At 4.40am this morning (Thursday, 15 April), NSW Police were called to reports of an armed robbery at a service station at Warringah Road, Forestville, near Cook Street, which a police media spokesperson confirmed was the Shell Coles Express.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command responded to reports a man aged in his 20s or 30s had entered the store wearing a face covering and armed with a knife. He allegedly threatened the shop attendant and demanded cash.

Police were told the armed man allegedly stole cash before fleeing the scene on foot. Nobody was reported to be injured during the incident.

Police established a crime scene and are appealing for public assistance to locate the man, who they wish to speak with to assist them with their inquiries. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
