Businesses from Mona Vale to Manly will have access to high-speed fibre connections as part of an NBN upgrade for the Northern Beaches.

When complete, businesses on the Northern Beaches will be able to order high-speed fibre broadband as NBN Co rolls out new Business Fibre Zones.

There will be a number of Business Fibre Zones on the Northern Beaches, including at Frenchs Forest, Manly, Brookvale, Terrey Hills, Warriewood, Narrabeen, and Mona Vale.

Direct fibre optic connections to the NBN will boost maximum speed available to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) and will allow symmetrical speeds, uploads at the same speed as downloads.

The service is known as Enterprise Ethernet. It could enable local businesses to deliver high bandwidth services across the internet, which could be especially beneficial to creative service businesses.
