UPDATED: Police have charged a man after a stabbing at Collaroy.

At 2.50pm Saturday, 26 September, emergency services were called to a home at Eastbank Avenue, Collaroy, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command attended and found a 35-year-old man suffering a stab wound to his abdomen.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital by CareFlight, where he has since undergone surgery and remains in a stable condition.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation, including a search of the surrounding area with assistance from the Dog Unit.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 35-year-old man at a home at Kambora Avenue, Davidson, around 4.30pm. He was taken to Manly Police Station and charged with reckless wounding.

Police will allege in court that there was an altercation between the two men and a woman, before the injured man was stabbed.

The arrested man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday, 27 September).
